Liberty Hyde Bailey Museum: The famous Michigander you might not know about.

Liberty Hyde Bailey, considered the Father of Modern Horticulture, was born in South Haven on March 15, 1858.

Despite the fact that he wrote, edited, and co-authored over 600 articles and journals on horticulture, Bailey is not well known in Michigan today. His legacy is waiting to be rediscovered at the homestead where he was born-- also known as the Liberty Hyde Bailey Museum.

Join Anne Long, Chair of Liberty Hyde Bailey Museum Board as she talks about Liberty Hyde Bailey, the man and the museum dedicated to preserving his great legacy.

This is a family friendly event and dinner will be served.
