"Back to the Beach" Kickoff & Ribbon Cutting

Stop by the Casco Township Nature Preserve this Saturday afternoon to learn about our plan to get “Back to the Beach” and join us as we celebrate the expansion of infrastructure to make the lakeshore more accessible and viewable for all.
We’ll have:
~ a nature preserve scavenger hunt,
~ "Back to the Beach" t-shirt sales,
~ nature crafts provided by Liberty Hyde Bailey Museum,
~ water safety information provided by South Haven Area Emergency Services (SHAES)
~ photo opps on the bluff
~ cherry pit spitting 🍒
~ an ice cream truck
~ and more!
The event will run from 2-4pm with an official ribbon-cutting and remarks from State Representative Joey Andrews at 3pm.
You can also learn about the plan to restore public access at the beach, ways to get involved and donate! Details and drawings of the beach access project will be on display.
Refreshments will be available for purchase from Sweet Caroline’s ice cream truck featuring locally made Ice Box ice cream bars. (And if you donate $100 or more to the beach access project, you get a free ice cream!)
Hope to see you there!
*If it rains, activities will move to the township hall at 7104 107th Ave.
