Have you ever seen vintage museum boats that still sail? You can have this unique experience at the Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven.
On Saturday, April 26th at 2:00pm, Jim Spurr will present a fascinating period of Michigan's maritime history: sailing champions of the 1920s - 1950s, as exemplified by the museum's own Bernida and Flashback.
Spurr is an avid sailor, with more than 35 years of sailing experience including full rigged ships and has a love for maritime history and of all things nautical.
The two racing champions have dramatic stories and represent developments in yachting still impacting us all as racing and recreational boaters.
Appreciate these antiques, enjoy their dramatic stories and soon experience their impressive sailing performances as crew or passengers!
