SUMMARY:The Importance of the Great Lakes Ecosystem and the Threat of Plastic Pollution
DESCRIPTION:Did you know that over 22 MILLION pounds of plastic end up in the Great Lakes each year? Or that it never goes away but just breaks down into smaller and smaller particles called microplastics that accumulate in the environment? TRC also sponsors paddles and other activities to introduce people to the beauty and importance of our streams\, wetlands\, and floodplain environments.
