DESCRIPTION:The summer portion of the eighth season of the South Haven Performance Series has been announced.\n\n \n\nFounded in 2010\, the Performance Series is an all-volunteer community-based organization dedicated to providing a rich mixture of the musical arts for South Haven area residents and visitors. Most concerts are held during the summer months with an additional free concert presented in the fall.\n\n \n \n\nFRIDAY\, AUGUST 25\n\nBaritone Mario Diaz-Moresco\n\nSpencer Myer\, Piano\n\n \n\n\n\nMario Diaz-Moresco is garnering attention for his versatility and strong stage presence in both Opera and Art Song. An active recitalist\, his Art Song repertoire includes works by Schumann\, Vaughan Williams\, Poulenc\, Beethoven\, Bolcom and Musto. Also passionate about new music\, he has premiered Laura M. Kramer's song cycle The Miracle of the Walking Fish\, for voice and guitar\, and Julia Adolphe's opera Sylvia. He studied at the University of Colorado and the University of Southern California. He has been a young artist with Central City Opera\, The Glimmerglass Festival\, The St. Petersburg Opera Company and a Stern Fellow at SongFest. In recent seasons Mr. Diaz-Moresco has given recitals with pianist Spencer Myer on California's  "InConcert Sierra" series\, the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Series in Chicago and the Rocky River Chamber Music Society of Ohio.
